1. Introduction

ColorWord Quest ("we", "us", "our") is a word puzzle mobile game developed by Gerardo Safiotti. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ColorWord Quest application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described herein.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a great gaming experience:

• Email address — Only if you voluntarily create an account. Creating an account is entirely optional; you can play in Guest Mode without providing any personal information.
• Game progress — Your level, score, coins, owned letters, and achievements, stored locally on your device and optionally synchronized to the cloud if you create an account.
• Advertising Identifier — Used by Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the App. See Section 5 for details.

We do not collect device identifiers, location data, contacts, or any data beyond what is listed above. We do not use third-party analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide the Service — To operate the game, save your progress, and enable cloud synchronization across devices (registered users only).
• Authentication — To manage your account registration, login, and password recovery (registered users only).
• Display advertisements — To show rewarded video ads that you may choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — Provides database hosting and authentication for registered users. Data is stored on secure servers within the EU. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — Provides rewarded video advertisements. AdMob may use your Advertising ID to serve ads. Google Privacy Policy

We do not share your personal data with any other third parties for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described in this policy.

5. Advertising

The App displays rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob. These ads are optional — you choose when to watch them in exchange for in-game rewards (coins, HP, letters).

AdMob may collect your device's Advertising Identifier to serve relevant ads. You can manage your advertising preferences at any time through:

• Your device's Settings → Privacy → Advertising menu
• Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com

6. Data Storage and Security

• Local storage — Game data is stored on your device using secure, sandboxed storage mechanisms.
• Cloud storage — If you create an account, your progress is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored on Supabase servers with industry-standard security.

While we implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service. If you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Local data is removed when you uninstall the App.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability — Request a portable copy of your data in a common format.
• Opt-out — Decline personalized advertising via your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in countries where GDPR applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you benefit from additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to object to processing of your personal data.
• Right to restrict processing under certain circumstances.
• Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) your consent when creating an account; (b) legitimate interest for operating the Service; (c) consent for displaying personalized advertising.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
